Glass-ceramic derived from the Li₂OMgOAl₂O₃SiO₂ (LMAS) system by incorporation of P₂O₅ as nucleating agent (G0, G1, G3 = 0, 1, 3 mol% P₂O₅) have been prepared. Investigations were carried out by means of differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field-emission type scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM).
